    • FTDNA reports values for H4 that are one less than pre-2007 DNAH TAGA H4;
    • FTDNA reports values for 452 and 463 that agree with the 10/09 ISOGG standard;
    • FTDNA reports only four values for DYS464, even if five are present. This is true even for FTDNA's palindromic DYS464x test.

Genetree

  • Genetree uses the databases and testing facilities of the Sorenson Molecular Genealogy Foundation (SMGF). The GeneTree beta site was launched in October 2007.

  • SMGF reports values according to several different options, including:
    1. NIST (ISOGG) = Ancestry.com after 9/30/09.
    2. ISFG = intended to be the ISFG standard? GATA H4.1 is one less than the ISFG standard.
    3. DNA Heritage = DNAH after Oct.2009.
    4. Family Tree DNA = values reported by FTDNA.
    5. Ancestry.com = Ancestry.com before 9/30/09.
    6. Genebase v3.4 = genebase.com as of Dec 2009.

Ysearch, a free public service of Family Tree DNA

  • "H4" marker values in Ysearch, if entered automatically, agree with values in FTDNA. If entered by hand, one cannot know for sure whether the value in Ysearch agrees with FTDNA, or has been modified to agree with pre-2007 DNAH TAGA H4.
  • Deane Merrill's results were entered manually. "H4" was entered as reported by FTDNA.
